A yard sale poem Sunday Yard sale, yard sale …once again. Bring your money, bring a friend. We used it once. You’d never know, but now it all just has to go. Bikes that no one ever rides. A giant thing to cut your fries. Christmas gifts that no one used. A brand new desk chair cats abused. Some heels, not worn, that made me tall. Retro dresses, now too small. Lots and lots and lots of clothes. Where they came from, no one knows. A vintage table that’s been around. A coffee table. We’ll hose it down. A dresser, a bookshelf, a single glove. A teen dream vanity that needs some love. Treadmill, books, a couple games. Lots of posters, minus frames. A million trillion tiny toys. They’re good for girls. They’re good for boys. We love our stuff, but changes loom. So, now we have to make some room. Cause kids move out, you think, “That’s that,” but they come back and bring their cat. Call it treasure, call it trash.
